Finding the Best Bluetooth Headset

Interesting in switching to blue tooth? Can't figure out what the best headset to purchase is for your cell phone? First things first: make sure the Bluetooth headset you buy is compatible and that your phone supports this technology before going out on a search for the best one. You can buy the snazziest one on the market, but if your phone won't work with it, you're out of luck.

There are a couple of different styles available. There are ones that go in your ear canal and ones that go over the ear. Ones placed inside the ear are more secure, but less comfortable. Headsets placed over the ear are held in place by a loop that goes around your ear. They are more prone to fall off, but generally feel more comfortable.

The price will depend on different features. Are you looking for something less expensive, like the . Or perhaps you're going for something more high-end such as Blue Ant's X5 (a behind-the-ear model worn on both ears).

When considering what features you want, ask yourself these questions:

o Can I wear both the headset and a pair of glasses comfortably, or will one interfere with the other?
o Will my ears be sore if I wear the headset for a long period of time? It is awkward to put on or does it fall off easy?
o Can I hear the other person well? Can they hear me?
o Is it easy to adjust the controls?
o How's the battery life? (In other words, will I spend more time charging it than using it?) Does it warn you if battery power is low?
o If I have problems, how well is customer service? (This is a BIG one...I've worked in customer service personally, and a lot of what you're told is to give customers is the big run-around. I suggest searching online and reading customer reviews regarding support. Another option is just after buying the phone, you could pretend you're having a problem with it and call up support to see if you're satisfied with how they do their job.)

There's no denying the convenience of having a Bluetooth headset. It should be simple to pair, simple to operate, and make your day more convenient. You can find them anywhere, from your local Wal-Mart to various computer outlets to online vendors. Decide what works best for you and make sure and read the warranty information carefully. Then go out and get you one!

Must Have Applications and Programs For the HTC Touch Pro (and Any Windows Mobile Phone)

While the HTC Touch Pro comes with an array of applications loaded by default, there are a few good programs they left out, like Google Maps. After sorting through tons of applications for Windows Mobile, I've come up with a list of useful programs to load onto your virgin Touch Pro.

  • Advanced Configuration Tool - This program allows you to tweak all sorts of settings
  • CorePlayer - Media player. Plays almost all music/video formats and has better streaming capabilities than the stock Windows Media Player. TCPMP is not working on the Touch Pro (yet), so this is the next best thing.
  • Diamond TF3D Config - Although the program was made for the Touch Diamond, it will work on the Touch Pro. If you're using TouchFlo3D, this program will allow you re-arrange the tabs as well as remove unwanted tabs.
  • GMobileSync - If you use Google Calendar, this program will allow you to sync your Google Calendar to your phone. You may get an error after syncing, but don't worry, the calendar entries will sync.
  • Google Maps - Suprisingly, this wasn't included in the list of stock programs. Google Maps is almost a no-brainer; it lets you search maps, get directions, show traffic, etc. Better yet, Google Maps even works with the Touch Pro's built-in GPS. Using GPS with Google Maps will let you create a route from your current location, but it does not automatically re-route in the event of a detour.
  • Kevtris 2 - Tetris for your phone, 'nuff said.
  • PdaNet - A must have program if you plan to tether (use your phone as an internet connection). You can connect via bluetooth or USB connection. Supposedly, the program disguises your data usage so it looks like you're browsing from the phone, not from your computer. Most carriers have a tethering fee in addition to the standard data charges. PdaNet basically lets you evade those tethering fees by disguising the traffic. I've used PdaNet on and off for over a year and have had no tethering charges or additional fees.
  • PHM RegEdit - Registry editor for Windows Mobile. A must have if you plan on doing any advanced tweaks.
  • Remote Desktop for Windows Mobile 6 - This is just what it sounds like, a remote desktop program for Windows Mobile which lets you access your remote desktop enabled PC while away from it. Why they did not include this in the stock ROM is beyond me. Remote Desktop comes in handy if you need to access a PC, but don't have a computer available.
  • SPB Mobile Shell - An alternative to TouchFlo3D. Mobile Shell basically replaces your home screen with its own interface. I use SPB Mobile Shell because I find TouchFlo3D to be laggy at times and cause overall sluggish performance. Installing Mobile Shell helped performance overall and there's also a ton of customization that can be applied to suit your liking.
  • SPB Insight - An alternative to the default newsreader "RSS Hub". RSS Hub is pretty good, lightweight, and fast, but it lacks a few things. One is the lack of images, the other is how RSS Hub only downloads part of an article, making you visit the site to read the rest of the article. SPB Insight not only downloads images, but it also (most of the time) downloads the entire article for offline viewing.
  • SPB Pocket Plus - A very powerful today screen plug-in. Lets you add all sorts of plugins and shortcuts to your today screen with lots of other features. I use Pocket Plus as one of the tabs in SPB Mobile Shell.
  • Sprite Backup - This program backs up your phone, contacts, programs, etc. Backups can be scheduled and only take about 5-6 minutes to run. It is always a good idea to have backups!
  • TorchButton - Lets you use the camera's flash function as a flashlight. The application is lightweight; you just run the program to turn on the light and run the program again to turn it off. By default, the LED light will only stay on for 30 seconds to prevent burn out.
  • Total Commander - A feature filled file explorer program with too many features to list. This is a definite must have program because you will never know when you'll need it.
  • VNC Viewer - Exactly what you think it is. Will let you connect and control the desktop of any VNC server.
  • vxUtil - Network utilities such as ping, traceroute, whois, etc. Network administrators may want to look into this program; it could come in handy and save you time.

It's Finally Here - The LG KS 360

If you want a mobile phone that offers all the modern conveniences of text messaging then your search may be over. When you have a teen that enjoys text messaging more than talking on the phone then you have a problem if the mobile phone they use is not exactly for text messaging. Mobile phone companies are trying to meet the demands of the latest craze by providing a mobile phone that teens will absolutely fall in love with. Text messaging and the modern keypads are just some of their inspirations on these phones.

From a teens' point of view, text messaging is a great way to keep in touch with several friends at the same time. They can organize a study group, ask questions if they cannot make it to the study group, meet their friends for a burger, and of course talk about the hottest girl/guy in their school. On a standard mobile phone the keypad is basically for dialling numbers and an occasional text message when necessary. This makes it difficult when the teen is trying to text message all their friends at the same time. In fact, abbreviations have been created and used in order to shorten the time they need to type a message. Abbreviations include: BFF or Best Friends Forever, LOL or Laugh Out Loud, and other abbreviations that save time typing a message on a tiny keypad.

Fortunately mobile phones such as the LG KS 360 can offer so much more because of its sleek design and the ability to access the QWERTY pad when ever you want to. The LG KS 360 is the perfect for the message text specialist. If you need to be in constant contact with someone but you don't want to hear the phone ringing constantly that is where the LG KS 360 will come in handy. From this mobile phone you will be able to send and receive instant messages, SMS, or send or access your emails. You will also have the option to browse on sites.

The LG KS 360 has a touch screen on the outside which allows you to access anything you need from a simple touch of your finger, including dialling. The screen can turn 90 degrees to make it easier for you. When you are ready to text just slide out the keypad.

Of course there are several other features with this mobile model such as the 2 mega pixel camera that is built into the mobile phone. It also offers a microSD card slot that can help your mobile hold up to 4 GB. The mobile phone can be personalized to make it easier for you to recognize who is calling before you see the name on the caller ID. You can feel good when you purchase this mobile phone.

If you search online for the LG KS260 Review you will find that most consumers were satisfied with this mobile phone. Mobile phone deals will offer the LG KS360 so you can purchase a dependable mobile phone with a plan for a discounted price. Check the mobile phone reviews for yourself and see if this phone is right for you.

Finally this mobile phone is available in an array of colours that will match your personality and assist you in personalizing your mobile for the one that matters the most...you.

I9 IPhone Clone Review

Lately, the CECT i9 has become the new darling of the import iPhone clones. It has surpassed the P168 and it's quad band version, the plus, (the top dog for a really long time) as the knock off best seller. But, is it really as good as all of the hype? Is it that much better than the original iClone? Is it worth the money? This article will attempt to answer all of these questions as well as offer a review of the i9 iPhone.

First off, I'm just going to come right out and say, that yes, in my opinion, the i9 is that much better than the older, original 168. Here's why. The original was a great phone and was the closest thing to the original version that was out there, but the i9 is even closer. There are several reasons for this, and I will discuss them all, but probably the most compelling is that the new one has Java support which means that you can download third party software and applications which can greatly expand the phone. Many like this because it allows for the Windows applications that were lacking before. You have Outlook, MSN, Excel, PowerPoint and thousands of others as well as games and applications that just were not possible before.

The 9 model also has much more memory available. The original could expand to 2GB. This one can hold up to 8GB. It used to be really rare to see one packing this much of a punch. It was more common to see them sold with 4GB, but that is beginning to change as you see more and more of the 8GB models being offered.

In terms of appearance, the i9 looks more like a newer generation phone. It's a good bit sleeker, smaller, and lighter and is the least clunky of all of the offerings until now.

It's also a quad band, or even if you are one of the few people on the 850 MHZ band, you will be just fine with this phone. It's covered by nearly all GSM networks and carriers. There isn't many places, or many networks, that this phone can't go. All of the major names are covered here.

This phone also includes the "shake and tilt" control feature which the original iClone didn't have. This allows you to advance the phone and change the image with a flick of your wrist. It's very intuitive and many people prefer this to having to scroll around.

Finally, the last reason that I think that the i9 is such a brisk selling phone is because it has "dual sim active." This means that you don't have to switch back and forth between the two - both can be online at once. You can browse the web and talk at the same time. You don't have to worry about missing any calls.

Of course, this new phone has all of the standard features in addition to the upgrades. It's pretty well known at this point that these phones allow web surfing, messaging, movies, and music. There is also a built in camera / web cam, e book reader, Bluetooth, and FM radio.

In terms of money, the i9 does not cost much more than the original. You can often find them in the low $100 range. Considering all that you are getting, my review is that yes, this is a great phone that is absolutely worth the money if a clone is what you are looking for.

CECT I9 Phone - It's a Smaller, Thinner Quad Band, and Has Java, Dual Sim Standby and Shake Control

It's becoming increasingly clear that a larger number of consumers prefer a quad band phone. Many of the new iPhone clones are coming with the 850 MHZ band either already included or available in engineering mode. And, that old novelty feature shake and tilt control (aka shake or swing to the music), is also showing up on a lot of new releases. The model that I will discussing today (cect i9 phone) has both quad band and shake and tilt, but it has a few new features that haven't really been main stream or widely available until now. I will discuss these features in this article.

I've already discussed that the phone is quad band. This means that it works world wide with almost all GSM networks. You don't have to install software or drivers. You just plug in the sim card. Many of the clones are tri band and for most people this is enough. However, for those that need the 850 MHZ band or travel extensively, a quad band is the safer bet.

If you are not familiar with shake and tilt (and aren't sure if you need or would like it) it means that you can forward the applications of the phone (songs, videos, pictures, etc.) by shaking rather than scrolling. You can tilt the phone to take it to wide screen.

Java: I believe that the reason that this phone has enjoyed such a huge amount of popularity is because it supports third party software and downloads via Java 2.0. This means that so many additional things are possible. Many people use this for Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, MSN, Outlook, etc. This makes the phone a true productivity smart phone which makes it very useful when away from the office or school. And, there are some who are more interested in using the Java for gaming downloads, but to each his own.

Dual Sim Active: Almost all iPhone clones have two sim slots available. This is one major area where these phones offer more than the original. People love being able to use two networks or two phone numbers, never having to worry about missing a call when you are online. And, unlike most knock offs that are dual sim, you don't have to switch back and forth between the two. They can both be online at once.

Huge Memory Capability: The i9 phone is most often sold with 2 - 4GB of memory, but it can hold up to 8GB. This way you don't have to worry that the phone will freeze up or slow down as you add on and use more memory. It also ensures that functioning remains fast.

Most Everything Is Here: Of course, this iclone has all of the goodies we've come to anticipate. You can browse the web and email. It also has Bluetooth, handwriting recognition, an e book reader, and FM radio. There is also an MP3 / MP4, a digital camera, and a web cam.

What this one does not have is the GPS, WiFi, and Windows Mobile that is available on other high end clones like the T32 and M88. But, the consumers who are attracted to the i9 are typically going to be a different customer than the one who gravitates to the T32. And, with the Java capability you can download many of the Microsoft windows applications.

And, price wise the i9 is a lot less than the T32 or the M88. You can often get a CECT i9 in the low $100 range.

I9 Accessories - User's Manuals, Set Up Instructions, Skins, and Extras Are Cheap and Available

There's no question that owning an iPhone clone has become more accepted and makes more economic sense in today's highly competitive wireless market. The clones have a lot to offer, both in terms of initial cost, freedom from contracts and mandated carriers, and bonus features that the original just doesn't have - like dual sim slots, shake and tilt, extra speakers, and expandable memory.

But, I've found that sometimes people hesitate to pull the trigger on these phones because they worry about customer support and getting accessories and extras. They reason that because the phones are imports from over seas, that it may be difficult or expensive to get a hold of extras like user's manuals, batteries, skins, data cables, memory upgrades, etc. This is actually not at all the case. Like the clones themselves, the corresponding accessories are also very inexpensive and readily available today. As demand increases, supply will answer. The i9 is among the most popular iClones today, so, here is an overview of some of the popular accessories for the i9, with an overview of the approximate cost and availability.

User's Manuals, Internet Set Up, And Messaging Set Up Instructions For The i9: This is probably most consumer's biggest concern. They worry that they won't be able to connect the Internet or set up the MMS, WAP, or SMS or that they'll receive instructions in Chinese that are essentially useless. Actually, you can get instructions in almost any language that you can imagine. Set up is pretty easy on these phones, but there is software, e books, and PDFs that will walk you through, step by step, on how to set up all of the applications. There are even directions for specific carriers and networks (T Mobile, AT&T, etc.) And, most times, these resources will be less than $10.

Skins And Cases: Other than set up help, the second most common accessory requested are silicone skins that protect the phone. These come in a variety of colors from clear, to black, to pink, or rainbow. They are dirt cheap - usually under $5, and last longer than you might expect. I have these in several colors. There are also leather pouches and cases that work in a variety of ways - both feminine and masculine looking.

Memory: This is one of the few clones that can expand to hold up to 8GB, but if you buy the phone with less memory, you'll often pay less. Many people use this approach and upgrade the memory themselves, which can save a good bit of money.

Sim Cards: This phone is dual sim. Many people will have one sim for their talking and texting, and another for web browsing and data. A popular option for this has become T Mobile to go sims, but there are others as well. You can often get cards (sometimes even with a nice amount of minutes already added) for around $10.

Data Cables: You can transfer information with your phone to the computer via USB cable. Most times, this will come with the phone, but if you need an extra, they're only a few dollars.

Sylus For The i9: The sylus for this model fits snugly into the phone, but there are spares available for under $5 if you've lost yours.

Batteries / Chargers: These things usually come with the phone, but if you need spares, you can often pick them up for around $3.

Hopefully, this article has reassured you that you don't have to worry about getting accessories for this phone. Not only are they cheap, but they are getting easier and easier to come by.

How Can I Track My Wife's Cell Phone Calls?

No one wants to be in a situation where we distrust our wife or girlfriend but with statistics showing that with a climbing divorce rate a climbing rate of infidelity is also tied in to this. Many men ask 'how do I track my wife's cell phone calls' out of desperation and a quest for the truth to either set their minds at ease or be informed enough to take the appropriate action.

The problem is it is hard to track your wife's phone calls because the only way you can do this is to have access to her phone and her call history. If this is no t an issue and you can gain access to the phone you may be able to find some interesting information by looking at the call logs which most mobile phones have that list recent calls that have come in and gone out. IF you have these numbers you can start doing some detective work to ascertain who the phone belongs too.

This is made easier if they are home phone numbers as these numbers are considered in the public domain and are therefore available to be listed, publishes and searched for on the internet and in phone directories without an issue. If the number is from a cell phone then you have a more difficult job ahead of you.

If you want the answer to "How to track my wife's cell phone calls" that are from or to other cell phones you will need to access private databases of companies that have collated a large number of private cell phone numbers form their business activities.

To see a reverse phone lookup system in action click below and enter a home phone number for information on that number. Full membership gives you access to cell phone directories too.

Undelete Text Messages and Deleted Pics to Investigate Infidelity

Did you know that you can take a cellular phone and send it off to a forensic lab and have the deleted text messages and deleted pics undeleted? Not only that but you can recover deleted caller ID, address book entries and other useful information. This can be incredibly damning evidence in domestic infidelity investigation. It can be used to disprove infidelity and prove faithfulness.

Case studies:

A woman's boyfriend returns from a friends bachelor party. The woman's intuition tells her something is not right about her mans behavior. She asks to see the pics on his cell phone. The boyfriend refuses and attempts to destroy the evidence by smashing the screen on the phone. After some discussion the couple agree to send the phone out to recover the data and an examination reveals pictures of the man having sex with a prostitute.

Case 2:
A husband and wife get into an argument. The wife hits the husband across the face several times leaving hand marks. The husband documents the evidence with his cell phone camera. After the couple cool off the husband deletes the evidence only to have the wife call the police and get him arrested. The husband was able to have the phone examined and the deleted pics recovered with time and date stamp and prove he was the victim of the crime not the attacker.

Case 3:
A wife is caught having an affair with a coworker. When confronted with the affair she promises to break it off. The husband suspects the wife has not stopped seeing the other man. The couple agree to send out the phone for a forensic examination to determine the last time the wife communicated with the boyfriend and the recovered deleted text messages prove the affair did end and the wife had not only ended the affair but even sent a text message to the ex boyfriend with the threat of a restraining order should he ever contact her again.

As you can see from the case studies above, cellular forensics can uncover infidelity, vindicate those wrongly arrested or prove fidelity in a relationship. Digital evidence cannot lie and it's very difficult for an amateur to falsify.

If you have a situation and you believe that handheld digital forensics can help you need to contact an expert. Don't waste time and money on cheap do it yourself kits that might destroy the evidence you are attempting to recover. Before you purchase a forensic examination of a digital device like a cell phone or Blackberry be sure to comparison shop and verify that the person you hire is an expert in hand held digital forensics.

Ed Opperman is President of Opperman Investigations and an expert in cell phone forensics. If you need help recovering deleted pics or text messages visit http://www.emailrevealer.com
